A Spice Girls reunion tour might happen, probably without Posh

Slam your body down and wind it all around: The Spice Girls just might be reuniting for their 20th Anniversary! According to Us Weekly, a reunion tour has been in the works “for the past year.” So far, Melanie Brown, a.k.a. “Scary Spice,” Melaine Chisholm, a.k.a “Sporty Spice,” Emma Bunton, a.k.a “Baby Spice,” and Geri Halliwell, a.k.a “Ginger Spice,” are reportedly on board. Or in other words, “We got Em in the place who likes it in your face, we got G like MC who likes it on an Easy V doesn’t come for free, she’s a real lady, and as for me you’ll see.”

Unfortunately, “Easy V,” a.k.a. “Posh Spice,” a.k.a. Victoria Beckham looks to be the holdout. Apparently, she’s not interested in singing and dancing onstage anymore, regardless of whether she wears the little Gucci dress, the little Gucci dress, or the little Gucci dress. However, another one of Us Weekly’s mysterious sources reveals that Beckham might “film something with them” or perhaps make some surprise appearances at shows “here and there.”

A missing Spice Girl is something of a sore subject for fans, since Halliwell’s departure from the group in 1998 is often cited as the beginning of the end for the Spice Girls. After splitting up in 2000, all five Spice Girls reunited in 2007 for a year-long world tour. And they also appeared together for a one-time performance at the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony, back when national pride was enough to overcome Beckham’s reservations. (It’s possible information on the tour is being leaked to Us Weekly in the hopes that fan outcry will pressure Beckham to be more active on the tour, but that’s just speculation.)

Bunton and Brown have also been dropping hints recently that another reunion might be in the works. A few days ago Bunton told the Telegraph, “We adore each other. I would love to do something.” Meanwhile, back in December Brown explained, “It’s our 20th anniversary this year, and it would be rude not to celebrate.” So far there’s no information on when or where this potential tour would take place. Until an official announcement is made, the Spice Girls are presumably encouraging their fans to, “Hi ci ja hold tight.”
