Jumping the gun on the holiday (as good capitalists will), Stephen Colbert will present A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift Of All, a musical celebration of all things Colbert. The show will air on November 23, weeks after the election but still during that fervent Florida re-count that will end with the Supreme Court declaring martial law and Sarah Palin painting Commando-style camouflage make-up on her face. The songs for the special were written by Fountains Of Wayne dude Adam Schlesinger and Daily Show exec-producer David Javerbaum. Guests that will show up to perform the (hopefully-not-already-dated) songs include Elvis Costello, Feist, Toby Keith, and John Legend.
