ABC’s steamy summer soap opera/Alyssa Milano vehicle Mistresses has been renewed for a second season. Mistresses boasts the familiar plot of four close female friends bonding over shopping and cocktails, as they deal with careers, families, back-from-the-dead husbands, homicidal wives of patients, same-sex explorations, etc. Its first season was seemingly an endless series of cliffhangers—not least of which was Milano’s character appearing to die in the finale. Though it would seem that one has now been resolved.
