Adam Pally to tackle The Mindy Project

Aux Features TV

In some happy-ish news for Happy Endings fans, lovable bear Adam Pally, who played Max on the gone-too-soon series, has just been signed to play a doctor (possibly a grungy one) in a guest arc on Fox’s The Mindy Project. This follows on the heels of the stunt-casting of James Franco, who will also play a doctor in a few TMP episodes (building on his previous medical experience on General Hospital) in a desperate attempt to fill Mindy Kaling’s fictional medical practice with any sort of personality. Looks like ABC’s loss of Happy Endings is turning out to be Fox’s gain, with the Pally casting, and previous news of Damon Wayans, Jr. making another appearance as Coach on New Girl. Hopefully up next: A dramedy with Eliza Coupe, Elisha Cuthbert, and Casey Wilson running their own private-detective agency? Please?
