In the new movie Bad Therapy, Alicia Silverstone plays Susan Howard, a struggling middle-aged realtor who’s just not happy with her marriage’s status quo. Inspired by those around her who she perceives as better off, she wrangles husband Bob (played by Rob Corddry) into couples therapy. The catch? Unbeknownst to them, their therapist (played by Michaela Watkins) is actually fairly damaged herself, and is playing their insecurities off each other for her own personal romantic gain.

In real life, Silverstone has actually had pretty positive experiences with therapy, as she tells The A.V. Club in the clip above. We also asked her about how she advocates for her veganism on set, her long history in Los Angeles, and what people say to her when they recognize her at the farmer’s market.

Bad Therapy hits VOD Friday, April 17.

It’s kind of funny how much Amy Heckerling succeeded in making up a bunch of teenage slang, whereas (in my opinion) Juno missed.

About the controversial subject of vaccinations, Silverstone writes, “While there has not been a conclusive study of the negative effects of such a rigorous one-size-fits-all, shoot-’em-up schedule, there is increasing anecdotal evidence from doctors who have gotten distressed phone calls from parents claiming their child was “never the same” after receiving a vaccine. And I personally have friends whose babies were drastically affected in this way.”

Let’s not forget that she fed her kids like baby birds:

I have always found her off-putting even before that. Prehistoric mothers may  have done this for their babies, but historical necessity does not equal some kind of present purity.

that’s very well done Alicia Silverstone looked like she had had a mild stroke that’d left her with slight facial paralysis she looks like Mary-Louise Parker in this video the girl in the music video for ‘Loud Luxury feat. brando – Body (Official Lyric Video)’ who looks like Mary-Louise Parker and several other actresses at 1:20 in the music video and who I very much doubt has been told what is wrong with her will die without warning from a massive stroke probably from an easily correctable cerebral aneurysm whilst she is still young like instantly now today tomorrow literally at any fucking moment the Star Trek console at the beginning of the music video is just a useful metaphor for the United States of America’s military strategy too bad beautiful girl you’re expendable

Michaela and Rob killed it in “The Unicorn” on CBS this season. Crossing fingers for renewal.
