Alison Brie is gearing up for the end of Netflix’s GLOW with Horse Girl, a strange and curious psychological drama set to debut at this month’s Sundance Film Festival before landing on the streamer next month. In it, Brie stars as a socially awkward crafts store employee who embarks on a promising romance before eerie relics of the past—including a possible alien abduction—send her down a dangerous mental spiral.
Mark and Jay Duplass serve as executive producers on the project, which was directed by Jeff Baena, here reuniting with Brie and co-star Molly Shannon after 2017's The Little Hours.
Debby Ryan, John Reynolds, John Ortiz, and Paul Reiser also appear in the film, which arrives in select theaters and on Netflix on February 7.

I blame the neo-Nazi trampoline groundskeeper played by UCB’s Matt Walsh.
His tattoo is going to be a maze
Alison Brie and Molly Shannon are two of my favorite actresses, and I liked Safety Not Guaranteed, so I guess I should check this out? The trailer seemed both weird and overly familiar though
I dunno, I got a SyFy Original vibe from the trailer. I’m sure the acting’s fine but visually looks awfully generic.
Ha, I love Syfy original movies but for sure this is better than THAT
The Little Hours was fun and a little odd. Basically completely period in everything they do with extremely modern dialogue. This director is Aubrey Plaza’s partner btw, or at least last I knew of it.
The Little Hours is pretty fantastic. More movies need Nick Offerman railing against the Guelphs.
I got a Sarah Jessica Parker notification for this?
Nicely done
Would be more interesting if it were Michael Shannon.
Hmm… Molly and Michael Shannons, starring in gendercrossed reboot of Mike & Molly?
Survey says…?

Wait, we’re being asked to believe that Alison Brie has trouble getting dates now?
Weirdly Alison Brie having a difficult time finding suitors is a plot point of both GLOW and The Little Hours as well
If she would just take off her glasses and let her hair out of the ponytail everyone would see she is beautiful on the outside, too.
But as Sam points out on GLOW, her hair is brown–the color of shit!
She could even be Prom queen!
At least she ditched the paint covered overalls
Greys having a normal one today
That’s why you cast noted uggo Alison Brie, after all.
Ughh! Mental Illness as entertainment sort of like “Black Swan”.
… unlike the Joker or countless other films that have male leads?
Mental illness =/= alien abduction.
people with mental illness can have stories about them too
And very interesting ones too. But I guess the OP isn’t a fan of Shining (among many.)
Is it a rule now that to get into Sundance your film must have a Duplass?
Or two.
A Duplass Duo?
That’s referred to as a Duoplass.
A Twoplass.
Also, Brontosaurian’s comment is better.
We just crossed the Duplass Threshold, people! **Room full of crew cheers loudly**
Unfortunately yes
It’s the old rule: gas, grass, or Duplass.
You had me at Alison Brie. I do worry if she can take the girth of a fully grown horse though?
Nice try trying to make Brie look plain.

It’s nice to see that Hollywood is allowing cocaine to be apart of the creative process again
I thought this title meant “Alison Brie as a centaur, trying to navigate life and love in this crazy world.” Now I feel let down and really want to see THAT movie.
With Jason Sudeikis as a sensitive minotaur. This thing writes itself!
She could get some advice from Will Arnett. I mean, I know a horseman and a horse girl aren’t the same, but there’s gotta be some crossover.
Yet no one will fund my Mr. Hands biopic 🙁
This seems like a missed opportunity for Kristen Schaal.Kristen Schaal is a Horse Girl!
