Allison Janney brings back C.J. Cregg for Not The White House Correspondents’ Dinner

Last night, Samantha Bee held an anti-Trump/pro-journalism protest at her Not The White House Correspondents’ Dinner special on TBS. The event was sort of a Greatest Hits of Bee’s favorite targets from her Full Frontal show, and though a cameo from a certain former president was probably the biggest surprise of the night, Will Ferrell’s George W. Bush wasn’t the only person with fake political experience who stopped by. The special was also kicked off with a cold open featuring Allison Janney reprising her role as West Wing press secretary C.J. Cregg, dealing with the kind of teenage creeps, pee-drinking mountain men, and Russian agents who are populating the White House press corps these days.

Naturally, the segment ends as so many West Wing press briefings did, with Cregg confirming that women are all witches before vaporizing a hooded figure with her laser vision.
