Andre 3000 says OutKast won't record another album anytime soon

In a new GQ interview with the “music industry’s Bobby Fischer,” Andre 3000 squashed any rumors of a seventh OutKast album. “There's been a lot of talk on the Internet about an OutKast album and I have to say that as of now, there are no plans for another OutKast album,” he said. The Atlanta-based rapper, who’s collaborated with everyone from Gorillaz to Drake to Ke$ha in the last year or so, continues: "There's a lot of music on the horizon. I've been living off the excitement of new artists. I've been privileged to have these new artists kind of reach out and grab back and say, ‘Hey, Andre, we want you on this song.’”

Andre 3000 also dropped hints (albeit minimal ones) about his upcoming solo album. “I'm going to get back to having fun,” he said, “because that's what it was all about when I started this in high school—with OutKast—those were like high school dreams. I'm 36 now, so I have grown-man dreams,” Andre 3000 told the magazine. “This album will just be me being myself as normal.”

The maverick actor-rapper-designer also announced that he'll soon resurrect his Benjamin Bixby clothing line, this time under the shortened moniker Bixby. [via Consequence Of Sound]
