This week, internet people noticed that Letterboxd—the only social media platform dedicated to both heartfelt essays on beloved films and quickly tossed-off jokes that nobody likes—had started listing Dune: Part Two as one of Anya Taylor-Joy’s credits, even though (as far as anyone knew) she wasn’t actually part of the cast. But before you suggest that maybe someone got their sand movies confused and mixed up Dune: Part Two and Furiosa, there’s actually a lot more to this mystery.

Today, Taylor-Joy made a surprise appearance at the Dune: Part Two premiere in London, perhaps prompting very funny people to quip “What’s she Dune there?” when they saw the photos, and now Variety has dropped the big reveal: She is in the movie! Variety won’t say who she’s playing, but she’s apparently a “major character from the franchise” who is so “major” that Variety refuses to spoil it. Dune fans online seem to know exactly who she is playing, though, so it’s an easy mystery to solve with a quick Google (or by reading Dune, if you’ve got some free time). We’ll leave it at this: Much like Marion Cotillard in The Dark Knight Rises, you don’t cast a famous person in a nothing role for no reason.

Anyway, with Taylor-Joy’s casting, Dune: Part Two officially features almost every famous person ever. She’s joining Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Stellan Skarsgård, Javier Bardem, and newcomers Austin Butler, Flroence Pugh, Léa Seydoux, and Christopher Walken. The movie, directed by Denis Villeneuve, will finally be in theaters on March 1. Also, Villeneuve would like to make a third movie, which may or may not be relevant to this Taylor-Joy news, but he doesn’t want to make any Dune movies after that (which is unfortunate, because things go totally wild as the series goes on).
