Arnold Schwarzenegger also has a cable drama about bodybuilding in the works

Aux Features TV

Continuing a commitment to returning to entertainment in whatever form is available, Arnold Schwarzenegger has sold a series to Showtime called Pump, one that aims to put a dramatic spin on the fitness and bodybuilding industry. According to The Hollywood Reporter,  the Schwarzenegger-produced show takes place in a 1970s Venice Beach gym, and will examine the evolution of "the present-day fitness industry and culture of body worship.” Schwarzenegger will be an executive producer, along with Two And A Half Men's Eric and Kim Tannenbaum, and also plans to have a recurring role. As you may recall, this isn't the first fitness-based show from a famous bodybuilder that's headed to cable: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is also producing and potentially starring in an HBO dramedy about a group of athletes living in Miami. So get ready to see a lot more hulking dudes in tank tops and cut-offs on your TV.
