Billie Lourd jumps from Scream Queens to American Horror Story

Aux Features TV

Billie Lourd—who broke out as the earmuff-clad Chanel on Scream Queens—is venturing into another Ryan Murphy terror zone. Lourd, according to Deadline, will have a lead role in the next season of American Horror Story. With Lourd’s knack for deadpan and the addition of Billy Eichner, there seems to be a thread of humor running through the casting of this latest scare-fest, but, really, it’s all just speculation at this point. Though we do know that it will somehow be related to the 2016 election, and that Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters will be back. (Did you really expect Paulson not to be involved?)

In addition to AHS, Lourd has two movies coming up, including Star Wars: Episode VIII, in which she’ll appear with her mother, the late Carrie Fisher. Scream Queens, meanwhile, hangs in limbo, but it seems like its players are moving on to other projects.
