The highly anticipated animated series spinoff of 2009’s highly awesome blaxploitation homage Black Dynamite finally has a (NSFW) trailer. Over two years in the making, the series follows the titular character and his ragtag posse from the film—voiced by the original actors—as they counter crime with kung fu and generally clean up the community. Although the pitch-perfect low-budget visual aesthetic of the film appears to have been lost in the transition to an animation style reminiscent of The Boondocks, the humor has translated very well, if the trailer is any indication (as trailers are wont to be). The series premieres on Adult Swim on July 15.
