The first trailer for Bullet Train had everything, except for a good look at Sandra Bullock. We’re happy to report that the second trailer for Bullet Train has everything.

While the previous trailer only featured Bullock as a pair of lips and a disembodied voice, this time around there’s a spotlight on Maria Beetle of “Deer Creek International Business Solutions.” She’s the handler any assassin would want to have, as she christens Brad Pitt’s character “Ladybug” and tries to put a positive spin on his many previous mishaps.

Unfortunately, Ladybug’s bad luck is “biblical” (“I’m not even trying to kill people and someone dies!”), and extends to his latest mission. Not only are the other assassins on the titular bullet train seemingly gunning for the same briefcase, they all have history with Ladybug. That includes Bad Bunny’s character, who will “never stop coming” for Ladybug, as well as “The Twins,” Aaron Taylor Johnson and Brian Tyree Henry. (“You look like every white homeless man I’ve ever seen,” says Henry, not recognizing an old foe.)

Worse still, at the end of the tracks “The White Death” is waiting–a “soulless psychotic leader with the largest criminal organization on the planet” played by Michael Shannon. He has an entire “army of assassins” ready to take on the passengers of the train, and unlucky Ladybug keeps missing his stop.

Elsewhere, there’s some action from Zazie Beetz and some accent work from Joey King, plus a sort of shaggy mullet situation on Bullock’s head. (Fun fact: the actors’ mutual hairstylist on Bullet Train convinced Pitt to do the cameo in Bullock’s film The L0st City). There’s also a lot of cursing and quips from Ladybug, who is remarkably good natured given his rapidly declining fortune.

Bullet Train, from director David Leitch, also stars Andrew Koji, Hiroyuki Sanada, Logan Lerman, and Karen Fukuhara. The film hits theaters on August 5, 2022.

Is that declining fortune that Brad Pitt looks like he’s morphing into the lovechild of David Spade and Woody Allen?

yeah i’d be a lot more excited about this hot new action movie if it didn’t star a 58 year old man. why does every action movie star a senior citizen?and sure pitt looks ‘good’ or whatever, and i’m enough of a fan of the cast/director, but at this point i KNOW how old he is, regardless of how many bucket hats you throw on him.

“why does every action movie star a senior citizen?”

Why can’t anyone communicate in English?

why does every action movie star a senior citizen?

Because media consumption is increasingly fractured into different niche audiences and Pitt is one of the last big movie stars from before that era.

Yeah, but how dare these for-profit companies try to make money by catering to an audience that exists.

      • mirrorball-av says:

Just wait until Pitt teams up with Liam Neeson for Taken on a Bullet Train

A 58 year old man with a gun can probably kill you easily enough. If you want to see young men I’m sure there are ways to get that content.

        Bullock is old too…..

I didn’t watch the trailer.  Is it a train that moves like a bullet or a bullet that I can ride to Long Island?

Bad Bunny’s character, who will “never stop coming” for Bad BunnyDying to see Bad Bunny’s character fighting with his own hand in an homage to Evil Dead.Anyway, the movie looks rad, and I’m excited to watch it.

Always glad to see Hiroyuki Sanada who I’ve been a fan of since he played the insanely devious Hatake on Helix. “It is … hard to explain”

    • strangepowers-av says:

He’s had an amazing career, killing it in ensemble films and tv shows and leading in great movies like The Twilight Samurai. I first saw him in Corey Yuen’s Ninja in the Dragons Den from 1982, a brilliant HK/Japan kung fu co-production. He kind of seems the same even though it’s 40 years ago. Wild.

(“You look like every white homeless man I’ve ever seen,” says Henry, not recognizing an old foe.)I’m confused. Bad Bunny will never stop coming for…Ladybug? Or Bad Bunny has a complicated relationship with self?It doesn’t really matter. Sandra Bullock and Brad Pitt had funny chemistry in The Lost City, so I’ll take more screen time with them, thanks.

Bad Bunny realizes the real enemy has been Bad Bunny all along. And once he confronts Bad Bunny about hurting Bad Bunny, Bad Bunny can start to heal.

This is going to be 2022’s Smokin’ Aces.

  • destron-combatman-av says:

Well there goes any interest I had in this movie.

  • filmgamer-av says:

Its funny how people thought the first trailer gave things away, well now its obvious Aaron Johnson and Bryan Henry arent the bad guys.

  • khol1-av says:

I’m hoping that both Hiroyuki Sanada and Karen Fukuhara have sizable roles in this, but l feel like I’m going to be disappointed.

  • bigopensky-av says:

    Looks absurd. And funny.
And I’m there just to watch Pitt punch that squeaky life-size Pikachu-looking mascot-thingamajig. (I read. Am a little out of pop-culture touch.)
5 mins later am still giggling.
