I’m not sure if Craig was ever really a sexy Bond, and I don’t really see that as a huge problem. It’s generally a bad idea for spies to be sexy. In any case, Benoit Blanc in Glass Onion is the sexiest role he ever played by a county mile.
Bond was never realistic. I don’t watch Bond movies for their realism. The whole idea of a super spy is absurd to begin with. Having an unsexy Bond is like doing Superman except he can’t fly.
Me too.
Not really a fan so I don’t know if my vote would count. That would be a “no.” But I appreciate another commenter mentioning that perhaps spies shouldn’t have to be sexy. That makes perfect sense, but Hollywood is like that and they do like their misogynist characters to be attractive. I appreciate Craig, himself, declaring that the character is a misogynist, but that didn’t prevent him from taking the part.
Why can’t a character in a movie be a misogynist?
Me watching Casino Royale opening night, yelling: He’s not sexy enough!
Daniel Craig is anything but James Bond let alone sexy !! The worst James Bond ever!!! There is nothing that qualified for the role
I remember when Craig was first revealed as the new Bond they had him arrive at a dock in a speedboat and everyone lost their damn minds because he was wearing a life jacket, which the press considered too soft. It’s important to remember that the character only exists to sell underpants and aftershave giftsets to one of the most insecure demographics in existence.
