Not content to be remembered in reruns for her long-suffering ways on Curb Your Enthusiasm, or as the girlfriend of Jeremy Sisto’s divorced-dad character on Suburgatory, Cheryl Hines is set to play a “beautiful, captivating and inspiring force of nature” in an upcoming episode of The Middle. According to TVLine, Hines will guest star as Dr. Sommer Samuelson, a dentist with an entrepreneurial spirit and a beautiful set of pearly whites. Dr. Samuelson heads up Smile Superstars International, a dental franchise that now includes Frankie’s (Patricia Heaton) office. But Hines’ character is more than a dentist—she’s an unofficial motivational speaker, though there’s nothing amateurish about her business sense. We’ll see if Dr. Samuelson galvanizes or infuriates Frankie and Dr. Goodwin (Jack McBrayer) when they meet in the season seven episode “The Convention.”
