Christina Hendricks' vacation gets ruined in this The Strangers: Prey At Night trailer

Aux News Coming Distractions

Bryan Bertino’s 2008 horror movie The Strangers managed to make a home-invasion story extra spooky thanks to the way it avoided unnecessary effects and jumpy musical cues, and this trailer for Johannes Roberts’ sequel (The Strangers: Prey At Night) takes a similarly direct approach to scares. It opens with a self-contained little story that gives you all the information you need to know that something bad is happening: A frightened girl with blood on her tries to start a car, only to have another car quietly roll up next to her, blocking her door, while the driver blasts “I Think We’re Alone Now.” Also, the driver is wearing a scary mask. This sequel moves the action from one secluded home to an abandoned trailer park that Christina Hendricks’ family is visiting for some reason, setting the stage for scary chases through multiple secluded homes as well as a swimming pool.
