Clueless actor Stacey Dash has been arrested in Florida on a charge of domestic battery. The Tampa Bay Times reports that “according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, Dash got into a verbal argument with the victim in a New Port Richey apartment around 7:45 p.m.” According to the arrest report, the 52-year-old Dash slapped the victim’s face; he also “sustained red scratch marks to his left upper arm from being pushed.” The victim’s name was redacted in a report obtained by CNN.

Dash is currently married to her fourth husband, Florida lawyer Jeffrey Marty, who she wed in 2018 shortly after meeting him. She became a conservative commenter for Fox News in 2014, although her contract wasn’t picked up in 2017. She submitted paperwork to run for a congressional seat in southern California in 2018, but soon withdrew her bid. She has many new projects about to be released, portraying a nun in the horror movie The Dawn, and National Right To Life president Mildred Mildred Jefferson in an upcoming movie about Roe V. Wade.

After the incident, Dash was transported to the Land O Lakes jail, where Page Six reports she was released on a $500 bond.

Hard to believe, she usually seems so reasonable and like she has her shit together

  • redremainder-av says:

    You hate to see it…

  • gamingwithstyle-av says:

I love when MAGA nuts get arrested lol!

  • fred1917-av says:

The papers say she did it in self-defense. Her husband being the Big guy he is, I am surprised the cops believed she threatened him. This smells fishy, but I guess “believe in all woman, especially POC, except when they are not feminist”

    • sirwarrenoates-av says:

All this article is doing is reporting the basic news from the arrest report. What the fuck were you expecting anyway?

      • fred1917-av says:

The fact she says she was defending herself against her husband is pretty basic.

        • sirwarrenoates-av says:

So they should print her defense is your point? Despite no proof therein? I’m not sure where you’re going with this other than you seem to think the Libtard AV Club can’t believe a conservative.

          • tyresewitherspoon-av says:

Nothing wrong with the article although they could have included the part where she claims self defense.  The comments, however, are a little quick to the draw.

          • fred1917-av says:

That point is good tho. Neoliberals are almost as bad as the Republicans.

          • sirwarrenoates-av says:

That I agree with – I like to post on the Pajiba site and FUCK but those folks are too ‘woke culture’ if that’s remotely possible.

          • misstwosense-av says:

Oh fuck right off with that false equivalency bullshit.

i am 100% sure you have no idea what a “Neoliberal” is. I think you think it’s some kind of leftist. (Hint: it is not)

      • kirivinokurjr-av says:

That’s true of the article, not of the first handful of comments. I dislike her as much as the next left-wing guy, but yes she was claiming self-defense, and I wouldn’t expect the same quick reaction to a similar thing happening to a liberal actress.  So, I get Fred1917’s point.

    • paulkinsey-av says:

What? “Believe in all woman, especially POC” isn’t actually a thing people say. That’s a total strawman. A more accurate summation of how left-leaning people feel would be “believe women when they tell you they’ve been victimized.” Which isn’t actually something that Ms Dash is claiming. Someone else (maybe her husband, maybe some other male) is claiming that he was victimized by her.

    • byeyoujerkhead-av says:

You really didn’t think this post out

    • modusoperandi0-av says:

“POC”? This page doesn’t even mention Palexandria Ocasio-Cortez!

    • anokato-av says:

Yeah, because cops are so known for their pro-feminist woke stance.
A white man attacked a black woman, the black woman called the cops, the cops arrested the black woman. It’s not the first time.

    • youcancallmeluke-av says:

You should keep your hot takes on American “woke” culture to yourself and worry more about what’s going on in your own back yard.

  • hell-iph-i-kno-av says:

hard lesson to learn but son, don’t fuck crazy

  • kinjabitch69-av says:

    Again with the Florida.

  • bartfargomst3k-av says:

I, for one, am shocked that a diehard Trump supporter is prone to violent behavior.

  • kingdom2000-av says:

Not a fan (cause the girl is desperate for attention narcissist combined with batshit crazy) but this sounds like overkill. She slapped her man and pushed him, likely while sporting stripper nails (a style I will never understand why any woman ever wears). Unless hitting him is regular thing, it just comes across as a petty “Ill show you!” nonsense.

    • hell-iph-i-kno-av says:

its FL and she (hell, they both) probably have conceal/carry permits or and itching to stand her ground … so maybe best police were called.

    • misstwosense-av says:

Violence is violence, regardless of who perpetuates it. I doubt she would have been arrested if he hadn’t been marked tho (tho, racism and Florida are factors here).

Others have suggested that she has said she was defending herself. But marks are marks. I don’t think she deserves to get abused no matter horrid she is. Struck by lightening? Yes. Roughed up by a man? No. But the flip side is also true- even if it was the first time she did it, she doesn’t get a free pass for violence just because she’s a woman.

      • anokato-av says:

        Violence is violence

        N.

        • rulersback-av says:

So she shouldn’t get shot, but doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be no consequences at all. Bad deflection tactic

        • sign-of-zeta-av says:

I think the point is more it doesn’t matter if she’s a woman, if the evidence shows domestic abuse committed by her, then she deserves to be arrested just as much as if the situation was reversed.

      • bcfred-av says:

If he had marks on him and she did not, then I’d say this was handled correctly.  She can plead her case later that it was self-defense.

    • elchappie2-av says:

FYI: Stripper nails do not scratch. they are more like a spoon. (Even the pointy ones) They can itch but can’t really make marks or break the skin

  • facetacoreturns-av says:

Land O Lakes Jail? Is that where they’re sending Hillary for all those butter emails I keep hearing about?

  • yesidrivea240-av says:

My mom’s been married four times too, but everyone else is the problem, not her.

    • ryanstewart05-av says:

Word. Mine is not marriages but jobs. Apparently every place she works at is full of vindictive bitches.

      • yesidrivea240-av says:

That’s another problem my mom had, but she stayed with the same company the whole time. Instead of leaving the company, she would switch offices when there was a problem. Then she eventually joined the rank’s of upper management, probably because she herself is a vindictive bitch, and would just fire people she didn’t like.

  • tobias-lehigh-nagy-av says:

“Clueless actor” or “Clueless actor,” it works either way!

  • cariocalondoner-av says:

Erm, Stacey Dash is tiny! She’s been aptly described as being long on looks, but short on everything else. She may not be my favourite person, but I don’t understand how she calls 911 (allegedly), yet the police arrive and arrest her, because she had no bruises, while dude had scratch marks …EDIT: Oh this was in Florida!! Oh I get it now

    • cariocalondoner-av says:

… and in Tampa, at that. I’m reminded of the wise words once spoken by a 1/16th Navajo Indian with a Steak-Me-Home-Tonight truck: “Tampa is not a place you go to … it’s a place you end up in”

    • jimisawesome-av says:

Most likely she got herself arrested. She calls, the police show up and he has marks while there is no evidence she was hit. While there she repeatedly threatens or attempts to attack her husband.

  • froot-loop-av says:

“…but soon withdrew her bid…” after making herself look like an idiot while trying to answer a not difficult question on tv.

  • elforman-av says:

I don’t know about Florida, but there are several states where if there is a domestic violence call, one of the parties involved will be arrested or at least removed from the premises. Usually it’s a he-said-she-said situation so it’s a judgement call on the officer’s part, but in a situation where one party is injured and the other is not, the uninjured one will be taken away as it is considered physical evidence of assault. So even if she was defending herself as she claims, the fact in this case remains that it’s the husband who was assaulted, so Dash was arrested.

  • dirtside-av says:

    Oh, the movie Clueless. Gotcha.

  • happyinparaguay-av says:

Her Eric Andre Show appearance was pretty memorable:

  • deeptime-av says:

Kudos for the casting director on Clueless for hitting a bullseye.

  • sign-of-zeta-av says:

She’s also a chair for Women for Trump iirc, and she is big in pushing the BS Seth Rich conspiracy. She cray cray.

  • autobrains-av says:

This whole article reads like something from The Onion. Freaking Florida, man.

  • Saigon_Design-av says:

Am I missing something or did she get lighter-skinned than she was in “Clueless”?She’s hot, but damn. What a waste.

  • foghelmut-av says:

Is her relevance still defined by a movie from 25 years ago, or does the media enjoy the double meaning of calling her a clueless actress?
