Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber have shared a new song, a pleasant, sensitive slice of pop called “I Don’t Care.” Of course, it’s easy to lose the low-key ditty in the storm of their new video, which has us asking who finally introduced these guys to Adult Swim, vaporwave, and Dan Deacon. Pop’s preeminent boyz toy with green screens in the clip, which merges vintage meme culture with Windows 95-era effects and screensavers. It’s charming, if seven or eight years too late. Watch it below.

Fuck both of these animals.
Most appropriate song title ever.
This song has no vaporwave influence at all, what are you talking about?
Nah.Seapunk? Sure. But for it to be considered Vaporwave you must have nothing but Japanese text and 3 second anime waifu gifs throughout the entire videos.
Doesn’t vaporwave also require a smooth jazz base? I mean, you can twist and distort those sounds to hell and back, but somewhere in there you need that chillaxing vibe.
That and also maybe Japanese 1980’s Pop sounds too.
Tropical House? It’s got a kinda Kygo vibe.
They both share the Japanese text, but 3 second anime gifs is more a futurefunk thing. Vaporwave is the Windows 95/neon aesthetic.
Anime still plays a huge role in Vaporwave and still is.
I looks like a cheap, Russian knock-off of Tim & Eric.
I sat through a solid minute of that tripe, and none of it sounded like vaporwave to me.
This literally has nothing to do with vaporwave. Just another example of AV Club having zero idea about cultural trends.
