Daily Show "slackers" outsmart Fox News viewers

Aux Features Newswire

Directly contrasting Bill O'Reilly's criticism that Daily Show viewers are nothing but "stoned slackers and dopey kids," a new study conducted by Pew Research Center confirms that people who watch the Jon Stewart-hosted "fake news" broadcast on Comedy Central have greater knowledge of national affairs than people who watch Fox News. According to the study, 54 percent of Daily Show watchers got two out of three questions right compared to only 33 percent of Fox acolytes. The results support an earlier study conducted in 2004 that found that TDS watchers are "smarter and more affluent" than O'Reilly Factor fans.
