December movie preview: From Avatar to Pinocchio to Violent Night, 2022 is going out with a bang

December brings movie fans an eclectic mix of blockbusters, awards fare, and just plain odd films. Combining all three is, of course, the month’s marquee title, Avatar: The Way Of Water, James Cameron’s long-awaited return to Pandora. Other prestigious contenders include Brendan Fraser in The Whale and Naomi Ackie in the Whitney Houston biopic I Wanna Dance With Somebody. Streamable from the comfort of your living room will be Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, White Noise, and Something From Tiffany’s. JFC I Wanna Dance with Somebody is a groaner of a titleIf it’s anything like Bohemian Rhapsody, the movie is going to be just as lazy and awful

Just wondering – is anyone out there THAT excited for Avatar 2? I’ve been wanting to get hyped for it but I can’t even force myself to get to that point…
Not really that excited, but also have learned not to count James Cameron out. Titanic and Avatar were both predicted to be expensive flops (Titanic because of its cost, and Avatar because of its cost and no one caring), and we all know how that worked out.
I mean, that is the thing… I was not excited about Titanic and liked it. I was not excited about the Abyss and liked it. I didn’t get at all excited about Avatar until something like 2 or 3 days before it’s release. But I don’t know… I would like him to do something new I guess.
