Before Daniel Craig makes it a hard-R Christmas in David Fincher’s The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, he’ll be seen this ironically titled thriller from Jim Sheridan, finally seeing release after a long delay. The supernatural yarn co-stars Craig’s new wife Rachel Weisz as well as Naomi Watts, and concerns a seemingly happy family whose new house turns out to be the site of some gruesome murders. And like so many previews lately, the trailer pretty much gives away what happens next, as it’s suggested that Craig might actually be the one responsible for those crimes, and all this idyllic family stuff is just in his head. So it’s basically a modern-day The Others with a male lead, or maybe The Amityville Horror by way of Shutter Island (reinforced by the appearance of Elias Koteas in another creepy-guy role). Whatever it is, Weisz’s ex-husband Darren Aronofsky probably won’t be seeing it.
