Finally, you can read the full text from Jorah’s extremely thirsty Game Of Thrones love letter

Aux Features TV

Everyone’s favorite Game Of Thrones sadsack had a hell of a time on the most recent episode of HBO’s beloved carnival of death and despair. After returning to the series as a supremely gnarly, rock/scab-covered arm hanging out of a jail cell in the premiere, Jorah Mormont arrived on-screen in last week’s “Stormborn” only to be told he’s both terminally ill and set for exile from what is apparently the only decent hospital in Westeros.

Of course, as an eternally lovesick 14-year-old, Jorah used his remaining time writing a letter to unrequited love and future Empress Of Everything Daenerys Targaryen. While the show only offered a brief shot of the letter, Twitter has revealed all. And it’s as melodramatic as you’d expect:

It’s a bit disappointing to see the full text for a number of reasons. One is that it doesn’t describe exactly how thinking of Dany’s face makes Jorah feel while lying awake at night, and the second is that there are no top 40 lyrics used to express the truth of his broken heart.

Still, some of the lines are real bangers. “I have had a longer life than I deserved” is succinct self-pitying of the best kind. You can almost picture this middle-aged warrior man putting his quill down and smiling, knowing that everyone is going to feel really bad once he’s gone because they didn’t appreciate him enough. It’s no small feat that this bare confessional elicits more uncomfortable squirming than the episode’s prolonged scene of Jorah’s experimental treatment. Love makes fools of us all.
