Fox's Gotham casts its Lil' Bruce Wayne and Kitten-Girl

Aux Features TV

Following weeks of casting necessary Batman characters and Jada Pinkett Smith, Fox’s Gotham has added its final two series regulars with the actors who’ll play Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle—or rather, their child versions, when their deep, emotional scars were still fresh and adorable. Touch’s David Mazouz will take on the role of the billionaire, literal play-boy Wayne, who’s described as “serious and soulful,” and not in any way a brooding superhero who’s equally skilled in forensics and martial arts. Instead, according to the press release, he “relies on the guidance and protection of Alfred Pennyworth and James Gordon,” in this long-awaited story of what Batman was like as a scared kid hiding behind his butler.

Meanwhile, newcomer Camren Bicondova will play Selina Kyle, described as “a teenage orphan who is suspicious and wholly unpredictable. A street thief and skilled pickpocket, she’s dangerous when cornered.” You might even say her stealth and her violent reaction to threats remind you of a cat, but definitely not until Gotham is over.
