Much like deodorants and pens before it, The Expendables will get a version made especially for women, who have proven themselves to be every bit the equal of male action stars, except in the sense of actually being allowed to join them. Instead, they will get their own separate Expendables team, undertaking dangerous missions (but, you know, girl missions, which allow them to use their knees) in an all-female squad that so far includes Gina Carano, the former MMA fighter turned Haywire star. Carano is the only name attached as of yet to the film that doesn't yet have a title beyond the already-floated, sorta-joking suggestions like The Expenda-Belles or our own, equally insulting The Co-Dependables (because dames are clingy!). Although he's not involved with the project, Expendables 2 director Simon West has suggested people like Cameron Diaz, Angelina Jolie, Milla Jovovich, and Helen Mirren, much as someone on the Internet has surely suggested Betty White by now.
