Good husband Jay-Z roasts Grammys for snubbing his very famous wife
“Y’all don’t have to clap at everything,” but most probably will anyway

Tonight’s Grammys, an evening of police detaining artists and famous football fans plugging their new album, had been a tightly scripted affair. Thankfully, Jay-Z then received the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award. Now, the award isn’t anything too exciting, just an acknowledgment of Jay-Z’s success at making money and, for some reason, Tidal. What can we say? He’s not a businessman; he’s a business, man. However, what Hova said in his acceptance speech woke the Grammys from their teleprompter-powered night of glad-handing and Young Sheldon commercials.
Taking the stage with Blue Ivy in an attempt to cause us all to age 100 years, Jay-Z began taking the Grammys to task for never awarding his wife, some lady named Beyoncé, an Album of the Year trophy, despite her having more Grammys than any other artist.
“I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than anyone and never won Album Of The Year,” he said with an unflappable Blue Ivy by his side. “So even by your own metrics, that doesn’t work. Think about that: The most Grammys; never won Album Of The Year. That doesn’t work.”
But after the camera cut to a stoic, silver-haired Beyoncé, complete with cowboy hat and husband-melting gaze reserved for times when Jay talks or gets in elevators, he continued to burn the hell out of some unnamed nominees.
“Some of you are going to go home tonight and feel like you’ve been robbed,” he continued. “Some of you may get robbed. Some of you don’t belong in the category.”
Again, the camera cuts to Beyoncé, who lowers her jaw as a sign for Jay to wrap it up. He does, but not before flashing a wry smile and saying, “No, when I get nervous, I tell the truth.”
Maybe Jay-Z should host next year.

Remember when Jay Z and Beyonce sued a family catering business out of existence for being named “Blue Ivy”, a name that pre-existed their attempt to force another nepo baby into public media?And then he stands on stage and says, “some people don’t deserve to be here”. Yeah, man, it’s the little diva that you brought on-stage with you for no reason.
Uh, I don’t. I do remember when a wedding planning company won the suit against Beyoncé and thus could keep using the Blue Ivy name.

Yeah, I’m not convinced it’s a good look for a couple of billionaires — one of one of whom has won dozens of Grammys, one of whom was winning a Grammy at that very moment — to complaint about not winning awards.
Out of existence? Blue Ivy Events still exists and they never lost the trademark for “Blue Ivy.”
Time to Oprahfy this event. Just get everyone to look under their seat. “You get a Grammy! You get a Grammy! Even you, Miley Cyrus, get a Grammy! One for you too Snoop!”

Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like the only awards that anyone ever care what category they are the academy awards for picture, director and the four acting. Beyond that you are just referred to generic Oscar, Grammy, Emmy, etc. winner. I couldn’t name you one album of the year if my life depended on it. But I do know that Beyonce has the most Grammys ever, so that seems to be a more important fact to your everyday person.

And I’m not even saying she could be garbage. She could literally be the 2nd or 3rd best album and win all those other Grammys
I don’t know enough about the types of music that wins these awards, but from “does it work” stand point… if absolutely could.
