Halle Berry looks great, but we're worried about the dogs in this John Wick 3 photo

Halle Berry wasn’t granted nearly as cool of a moniker as her John Wick: Chapter 3 co-stars Anjelica Huston and Jason Mantzoukas, but even if her character is just named “Sofia,” she still looks awfully badass strolling through the Continental in this first set photo.

All the leather, studs, and heels of Berry’s Catwoman look, and none of the ridiculous dialogue or rubbery CGI of the film (not yet, anyway). So congratulations, Chad Stahelski and writers of John Wick: Chapter 3—Sofia seems every bit as formidable as a character dubbed The Director or Tick Tock Man.

Still, Sofia’s canine companions have us a little worried; no, not about the hotel carpet or furnishings. John Wick’s (Keanu Reeves) pitbull bud might have survived Chapter 2, but what’s the likelihood that the writers will be able to resist breaking our hearts again in this trilogy capper? These German Shepherd mixes look like such good doggos, and can they really help it if Sofia is an assassin? So’s John Wick! But until we see John Wick: Chapter 3 on May 17, 2019, we’ll just have to hope these new guys have some kind of claws in their contract that prevents them joining that poor little beagle in dog heaven.
