Hamilton’s original Schuyler sisters will be together again for the Super Bowl

Aux Features Music

Hamilton’s original Angelica, Eliza, and even its Peggy are getting together once again for a Super Bowl performance. Entertainment Weekly reports that Phillipa Soo, Renée Elise Goldsberry, and Jasmine Cephas Jones—the actresses who first played the Schuyler sisters in the Tony-winning musical—are set to sing “America The Beautiful” at the 51st edition of the big game. Lady Gaga is responsible for the halftime entertainment during the February 5 event, while Luke Bryan is doing the national anthem.

If you have somehow not been inducted into the cult of Hamilton fandom, know that the trio comprises the show’s three principal female characters and that their harmonies are tight and top notch. Over the course of the show—and in, you know, history—Alexander marries Eliza, but he and Angelica are also into one another.
