HBO making Mark Ruffalo play twins too

Aux News Unknown

HBO is getting a lot of bang for its buck with James Franco’s dual performance on The Deuce, and now the premium-cable network plans to double up on the Mark Ruffalo in a new limited series. Deadline reports the Thor: Ragnarok star will topline an adaptation of Wally Lamb’s I Know This Much Is True, an Oprah’s Book Club pick. Derek Cianfrance will write and helm the limited series, which will see Ruffalo play twin brothers Dominick and Thomas Birdsey. Lamb’s novel deals with grief, mental illness, sexual abuse, and a lot of other heavy themes, which Ruffalo and Lamb have been trying to bring to the big or small screen for the last two years or so. There’s no word on other casting or a production date yet.
