The Sundance Film Festival has just handed out its big awards for the year, recognizing the little films, today, that have a decent shot of being the very big films of tomorrow. Per Deadline, the top winner at this year’s festival was Alessandra Lacorazza’s In The Summers, with the fest’s voters tossing it the U.S. Grand Jury Prize, Drama. Musician René Pérez Joglar has drawn strong praise for his work in the film, in which he stars as a father of two young girls (Dreya Castillo and Luciana Elisa Quinonez, initially) who come to stay with him over the summers in New Mexico.

Meanwhile, Sundance awarded its Grand Jury Prize, Documentary to Brendan Bellomo and Slava Leontyev’s Porcelain War, the duo’s documentary about life and fighting during the Ukraine War. (Leontyev fought in the conflict, and captured footage of his time during the fighting.)

Beyond the two big winners, Sundance also gave out its World Cinema Grand Jury Prizes to Astrid Rondero and Fernanda Valadez’s Sujo, in the dramatic category, and Silje Evensmo Jacobsen’s A New Kind Of Wilderness, about a Norwegian family that attempts living off the grid but is forced to reconcile with the world after a family tragedy, in documentaries.

The festival also recognized writer/director Jesse Eisenberg for his new dramedy A Real Pain (giving Eisenberg the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award) acknowledged Jack Berger’s David Schwimmer feature Little Death with the NEXT Innovator, Award, and gave two prizes (the Festival Favorite Award, and the U.S. Documentary Audience Award) to Angela Patton and Natalie Rae’s film Daughters. Other Audience Awards went to Sean Wang’s film Didi (Dramatic), Benjamin Rae’s Ibelin (World Cinema Documentary), Shuchi Talati’s Girls Will Be Girls (World Cinema Dramatic), and Rich Peppiatt’s Kneecap (NEXT).
