Netflix has announced “some guests” for John Mulaney’s new special, Everybody’s In L—holy crap, Halloween director John Carpenter is listed.

That’s right. Tucked between Los Lobos and Warren G, John Carpenter, director of They Live, is among the names scheduled to appear on Mulaney’s live-streamed Netflix series, John Mulaney Presents: Everybody’s In L.A. What will Carpenter be doing? We assume he will be smoking a J-bone and playing Dead Space. Mulaney will also host the likes of Cassandra Peterson, better known as Elvira, so it does seem like this show has a few great gets.

Other names include David Letterman, Nate Bargatze, seismologist Dr. Lucy Jones, Weezer, Jerry Seinfeld, Citizens for L.A. Wildlife Representative Tony Tucci, Jon Stewart, hypnotherapist Kerry Gaynor, Flea, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Marcia Clark, Ray J, Mae Martin, Earthquake, Patton Oswalt, Stavros Halkias, helicopter journalist Zoey Tur, Sarah Silverman, Joyce Manor, Ronny Chieng, Tom Segura, Bill Hader, St. Vincent, Luenell, Hannah Gadsby, Cedric The Entertainer, Dr. Emily Lindsey of the La Brea Tar Pits, and Beck.

John Mulaney Presents: Everbody’s In L.A. isn’t a traditional standup special. It’s a six-episode series that will stream live on Netflix throughout Netflix’s Netflix Is A Joke Fest in Los Angeles. The series premieres on May 3, with more episodes airing May 6 through 10, at 10 p.m. EST. “This hard-to-describe show” will be a mix of guest segments and “field pieces shot in L.A.” Is Netflix testing a late-night show hosted by Mulaney? This sounds like a late-night show, and Netflix has been angling into live television. It’s been seven years since Chelsea Handler’s late-night show for Netflix, Chelsea, and streaming is more like cable than ever. Nevertheless, this show will be running throughout the festival because “every funny person” will be in L.A. Anything more will likely depend on how many minutes people spend with the show.
