How about a warning for that man’s exposed cock and balls on the cover of Annie Leibovitz’s book? Other than that, not a very good list… and why are some of these books so expensive? $60? $71? $115? $190?! Jesus…
OH NO!!! A MANS FLACCID PENIS!!!! THE HORROR!!!!!!! THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!!!Seriously 50% of the population has those parts. It shouldn’t shock you. I just hope the pain they uses is easily washed off and didn’t require any scrubbing
I feel like you missed one
I finally read that whole book earlier this year.
What’s Klosterman’s foreword like? Why the book you’re about to read actually sucks and you should be reading some other coffee table book? Why Kramer’s coffee table book on coffee tables is wildly underrated?
You can read the foreword here:https://www.amazon.com/Inventory-Featuring-Saxophone-Obsessively-Pop-Culture/dp/1416594736?asin=1416594736&revisionId=&format=4&depth=1
“In a culture that worships the disposable, lazy lists obligatorily put together by self-serving editorial staffs at the likes of Barely Information Magazine, The A.V. Club has decided to embrace what it parodies until it meets itself just outside of heaven and shakes its own hand while flipping itself, and you and me, off. Kudos, A.V. Club!” — David Cross, Mr. Show and Arrested DevelopmentDavid Cross is so insufferable. “embrace what it parodies.” He doesn’t even know what he’s providing a quote for.
Graphic novels are coffee table books now?
That one was a real headscratcher. Some of the others look to be regular non-fiction books as well, not coffee table books. What an odd list.
I don’t think they understand what a coffee table book is. It’s not something you read, its mostly an art book or picture book.
