R.L. Stine is best known for scaring millions of children for decades with the nightmarish imagery of his Goosebumps and Fear Street franchises. In 1992, before the first Goosebumps book was published, Fear Street was already a successful horror series, but it was mainly targeted at young adults and teenagers.
