For the first full month of spring, Hulu adds some fan-favorite films as well as some recent indie movies before the summer movie season begins and we turn our attention to big-budget blockbusters. It’s difficult to believe that The Big Lebowski premiered 26 years ago, but the Dude still abides after all this time. Before you see Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire in theaters, check out the acclaimed 2006 South Korean monster movie The Host. If you’re looking forward to seeing Hugh Jackman reprise his role as Wolverine in Deadpool & Wolverine, rewatch him in one of his earlier appearances as the character in 2003's X2: X-Men United. Also coming to Hulu in April 2024 is the Irish thriller Barber starring Aidan Gillen, the French romantic thriller Stars At Noon, the psychological thriller Copycat starring Sigourney Weaver, and much more.

Claire Denis’ romantic thriller Stars At Noon stars Margaret Qualley, Joe Alwyn, Benny Safdie, Danny Ramirez, and John C. Reilly. The official description of the A24 film reads: “A young American journalist (Margaret Qualley) stranded in present-day Nicaragua falls for an enigmatic Englishman (Joe Alwyn) who seems like her best chance of escape. She soon realizes, though, that he may be in even greater danger than she is.” Based on the novel of the same name by Denis Johnson, Stars At Noon is about a woman forced to use sex as currency when she becomes trapped in unstable Nicaragua during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Interesting list. “Barber” is a terrible name for a film. There’s no way I hear that name and think it’s about a private investigator. Definitely, think he has another job but I can’t quite put my finger on it…
