James Corden unravels a secretive marriage in Prime Video’s Mammals trailer
Colin Morgan, Melia Kreiling, and Academy Award-nominee Sally Hawkins round out the cast of dark comedy Mammals

When he’s not getting banned (then unbanned, and banned once again) from Michelin-star restaurants, The Late Late Show host James Corden likes to dip his toes into the world of acting. While his most recent forays into the field tend to stray towards being voices in animated films and portraying the terrifying CGI Bustopher Jones in 2019's Cats, the trailer for Prime Video’s Mammals shows Corden in a more serious role as he tackles hidden secrets within his marriage in the dark comedy series.
Written by Tony Award winner Jez Butterworth (The Ferryman) and James Richardson, Mammals follows Jamie (Corden), a Michelin star chef “whose world implodes when he discovers shocking secrets about his pregnant wife, Amandine (Melia Kreiling),” according to Prime Video’s synopsis of the series. As he attempts to seek out answers, Jamie’s brother-in-law Jeff (Colin Morgan) helps him along the way, causing further fractures in his own marriage to Jamie’s sister Lue (Sally Hawkins).
“Monogamy it’s a beautiful idea, but you have to admit it’s pretty hard, right?” ponders Kreiling in the trailer as the characters are shown in measured states of grief. “He is the man, she is the woman, the only one that there will ever be. It’s hard to live up to.”
Starring James Corden, Melia Kreiling (Filthy Rich), Colin Morgan (Belfast) and Sally Hawkins (The Shape Of Water), Mammals’ ensemble cast includes Henry Lloyd-Hughes (Marriage), Naoki Mori (Mr. Malcolm’s List), Rasmus Hardiker (Your Highness), Nina Toussaint-White (Bodyguard), and Samuel Anderson (Gunpowder Milkshake).
The six-part series is directed by Stephanie Laing (Made For Love), with Butterworth, Corden, and Richardson also on the project as producers.
As for whether Corden’s chef enacts a ban on anyone like his own real-life Balthazar incident, we’ll have to wait to find out when the series premieres November 11 on Prime Video.

Imagine going to all the hard work, trouble and heartache of producing a TV show , only for half your potential audience to immediately lose interest when they find out that the fat faced walking charisma deficit that is James Corden plays a main character.
Sounds like some major projection. He’s a Tony-winning actor with a popular late night talk show, I’m sure the people who like/don’t mind him far outweigh the internet dissenters.
The people that don’t like him are probably close to the amount of people who do like him. However, the overwhelming majority probably don’t know about him or don’t care about him at all. He really doesn’t bring anything in terms of “star power” to a project.
Shut up, James.

Hi, I’m from the future (about 6 days)? Saw this I hope you guys don’t miss out. His controversial incident was for an interview for this show. You got to figure Corden must’ve done a lot of research into being a chef. Just so he could portray a convincing chef. This series? It requires your undivided attention. If you put it on in the background you’ll miss some interesting yet confusing stuff like that last scene in the last episode.I tried rewinding and rewatching one particular part cause it doesn’t really make sense. You pull up X-Ray cause then you figure that they’ll reveal the other actress’s name and… nah it’s the same actress. So what she’s saying is a year ago she caught him cheating on her with her?
