Jane Lynch will host the Emmys

Aux Features TV

It’s official: Jane Lynch will lord over this year’s Emmy Awards, her intimidating height and sense of velociraptor-in-waiting menace being put to good use to ensure that winners keep their acceptance speeches nice and orderly. The Glee star and future member of the Three Stooges Nun Club got the job after impressing producers during last year’s big musical number, suggesting this year’s ceremony is probably going to open with a song again—and that was all but confirmed as Lynch said she was “looking forward to singing and dancing.” She also said something about tracksuits, naturally. Anyway, perhaps this means someone else can take Best Supporting Actress this time?
