In addition to the much-ballyhooed fourth season of Arrested Development, Deadline reports that Jason Bateman is solidifying his return to television by teaming with Up All Night executive producer DJ Nash to produce the single-camera sitcom Then Came Elvis, which they’ve recently sold to NBC. Loosely based on Nash’s life growing up in the 1980s, Then Came Elvis takes a Wonder Years (or, sure, Everybody Hates Chris) approach to tele-biography, using voiceover from the adult son character to provide perspective on his life in the wake of his parents’ divorce. That description doesn't do much to explain the title, of course, though we suppose it could be a way to bait viewers into tuning in week after week, waiting around pointlessly to see when Elvis is finally gonna arrive.
