Listen to "Burn," the pretty okay new single from Iggy And The Stooges

Aux Features Music

After 2007’s weak Stooges outing The Weirdness, it would be foolish to expect too much from Iggy Pop and company these days. All that being said, Iggy And The Stooges’ new single, “Burn,” is kind of catchy. The track opens the forthcoming Ready To Die (out April 30 on Fat Possum), and features copious amounts of “Search And Destroy”-style squelching feedback, a strong drumline, and only a few kind of iffy rhymes (burn/churn, and so on).

Iggy And The Stooges are also playing quite a few live dates this year, though only two of the shows announced so far actually take place in the states. A full list is below.
