Listen to the new Kendrick Lamar-SZA Black Panther collaboration

Interscope Records announced this morning that Kendrick Lamar and label exec Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith will “produce and curate” Black Panther: The Album in collaboration with the film’s director, Ryan Coogler. The upcoming Marvel film, due out February 16, stars Chadwick Boseman as the title character, and it will apparently include lots of Kendrick Lamar as well. According to the press release, this is the “first time in Marvel Cinematic Universe history that Marvel Studios will integrate multiple original recordings created specifically for the film.” The announcement came alongside a single from Lamar and SZA, who are perhaps best known as the recipients of The A.V. Club’s number-one and number-five albums of 2017. (Congrats to you both!) “All The Stars” isn’t the first collaboration for Kendrick Lamar and SZA: He guested on her “Doves In The Wind.”
