Lorde’s sophomore album, Melodrama, has finally arrived

After months of anticipation, SNL appearances, and the occasional new single, Lorde has finally released her sophomore album, Melodrama. The follow-up to the New Zealand-born singer’s Grammy-nominated 2013 effort Pure Heroine, the album—per an interview she recently gave to The New York Times—tracks the ups and downs of a single chaotic house party. That means euphoric highs, soul-crushing lows, and the kind of “Oh god, he dumped me and now I’m a hot mess” dance floor collapse captured in the previously released “Green Light.” (No word yet on whether it also contains coded references to the 20-year-old’s love of onion rings or smoothies.)

Melodrama is currently streaming via Apple Music.
