Kimmi, that’s it- like every teen break-up times ten, maybe more. Breaking up with Martha was f-ing brutal from even seducing her to start with to the break-up & forced exfiltration. Just brutal.

To be fair, plenty breakups can be seen coming a mile away. It’s just a lot of the time the people who don’t see it coming are the ones who are in the relationship. And the guy was stuffed into a bear and sacrificed, which is pretty excruciating.
I remember watching war of the roses with my then college girlfriend/fiancee now ex wife. We cringed a lot, swore we would not be like that and in 3 years we were.

I know this is a small-screen breakup, but none of these will ever compare to the scene in Pancakes, Divorce, Pancakes.

Midsommar’s breakup was only excruciating if you were blind enough to not see it coming a mile away. What a disappointing sophomore effort.
