Mitch Hedberg's widow shares his writing process in short documentary video

The comedy world took a huge hit when Mitch Hedberg died of a drug overdose in 2005. The talented comedian with a growing cult following was still working on new material at the time of his death (as indicated in our interview with him in September 2004), material that surely would have broken him even bigger than he already was. As if this needed reinforcing, the web-based short documentary series Modern Comedian, the project of Scott Moran, visited with Lynn Shawcroft, Hedberg's widow. In this episode, Lynn shares insights into Mitch's process and his beloved notebooks full of jokes. It's a touching tribute to an astounding comic mind that was lost way too early (way better than any cobbled-together, posthumous live album is, anyway). [via The Aggregate]
