The talent behind Mary Katherine Gallagher’s jump to the big screen will reunite for a new Fox comedy pilot. Deadline reports that SNL alum Molly Shannon and her Superstar director, Kids In The Hall's Bruce McCulloch, have sold a comedy pitch to Fox, with Shannon attached as producer and McCulloch as showrunner. The pilot centers on Fiona, a woman at the top of her professional career who clashes with her stay-at-home pregnant daughter.

Shannon was recently a guest star on the stellar Halloween episode of Bob’s Burgers, received a nomination for an Outstanding Guest Actress Emmy for the final season of Enlightened, and appeared in an episode of Hannibal’s first season—an episode that was pulled from NBC’s schedule in America following the bombing at the Boston Marathon. She's displayed a lot of dramatic range lately, but this project will bring her back to network live-action comedy, along with an upcoming guest arc on Raising Hope.
