I have had access to a family member’s account (that they, yes, paid extra for) and haven’t watched more than a few hours worth of content in two years. That well is DRY.

Every single person that I know who has quit Netflix did so because the price was too high. Funny that they can’t figure that out.

I’m not really sure how this is going to work for them. My spouse & I share the Netflix password & she travels for work a lot, so she watches out of the house more than I do. The second we get a nastygram, account lock, or invoice from Netflix telling us to stop sharing our password, we’re out.

I guess I’m weird. I do share my password, but I deliberately upgraded to the max number of users because I do. I’m the only person in my household, so I’m paying a fair amount more than I need to in order to alleviate mu guilt over sharing outside my physical household. I only share with my kids, who only have one TV so I’m paying for 2 more concurrent streams than will ever be used.

The basic tier is $9.99 per month.  If you can’t swing that,  maybe you should be doing something other than watching Netflix.

You know, it’s possible that people don’t think the price is worth it. Have you considered that?

I can’t imagine why anyone not getting paid by Netflix would possibly care

Lol! The basic tier. And because I have had to pay my family’s Netflix subscription since I got mine in my first year of university, I now pay for the premium one that’s over 20 bucks for 4K. My Apple One subscription for my whole family is barely more than that and it includes multiple terabytes of cloud storage and music and games and movies and tv. Prime is even less and so is YouTube Premium (the family plan is the same cost as Netflix basic). If it weren’t for the fact that different people in my family cover the other ones, I wouldn’t pay for Netflix anymore because it’s just not worth it
