Guardian angel Octavia Spencer has more marriage advice for Britney Spears: “Extortion is illegal”

Octavia Spencer has once again entered the Ma zone for the sake of Britney Spears. Following up on her infamous Instagram post advising Spears to make estranged husband Sam Asghari sign a prenup, Spencer was caught on Instagram reminding Spears that “extortion is illegal.”
This didn’t simply come out of nowhere. Spencer is a longtime lurker and commenter on Britney Spears’ Instagram page. However, since comments were turned off on her Instagram, possibly because people act very normal regarding Spears, Spencer took her words to Page Six’s account, which Twitter user @MichaelEnvy caught. Responding to a post reading, “Sam Asghari threatening to release ‘extraordinarily embarrassing’ Britney Spears info if prenup is not negotiated.” Spencer responded, “Extortion is illegal.”
Spencer is a longtime follower of Spears’ marriage. When the singer announced her engagement to Asghari, the Oscar-winner said, “Make him sign a prenup.” Perhaps realizing that telling someone to sign a prenup on Instagram isn’t precisely the best wishes someone wants when announcing an engagement, Spencer, despite being correct, apologized shortly after.
Y’all, a few days ago Sam and Britney announced their engagement and me being me I made a joke. My intention was to make them laugh not cause pain. I’ve reached out to this lovely couple privately to apologize and now want to restore just a smidge of happiness they were robbed of. Asghari responded to Spencer’s joke, saying he had “no hard feelings,” though he did “joke,” “Of course we’re getting [an] iron-clad prenup to protect my jeep and shoe collection incase [sic] she dumps me one day.”
What’s the lesson here? When Ma speaks, you listen.

Octavia Spencer is an Oscar winning Actor, Director and Producer of significant repute in the industry.
She apparently follows Britney Spears, whose personal and professional travails have been reported on/perhaps overly analyzed to make money for entertainment/gossip sites like AVClub, for decades.
She apparently posted a protective comment on Britney’s behalf on another news site.
This site reported it expecting it would be clicked on and read, even commented upon.
Regularly commenting on a pop culture website yet not knowing who a critically acclaimed, Oscar-winning actress is…Anyway, “Celebrity says x about other celebrity” always seems to rile y’all up like you couldn’t just scroll past it.

I agree that this is a dumb non-story, but reacting with, “Who the fuck is this?” about Octavia Spencer is possibly even dumber. I get it for some people but she’s hardly obscure.
Oh, I’m sorry, I just thought she was someone who posts on instagram pics, according to the article.
They noted that she was an Oscar winner and made two (admittedly lame) references to Ma, which she starred in not too long ago.

None of this is looking like the happy, feel-good story the #FreeBritney movement wanted it to be.
I, for one, am shocked that fans of a pop singer turned out to know less than her family about the reality of her mental state, situation and competency. This must be heartbreaking for them. People with an agenda and no knowledge of the state of her wellbeing accusing them of having a nefarious agenda. I mean, if they were just out there to make money off her… why aren’t they doing so now? Why isn’t her father selling interviews about her left and right? Why aren’t they releasing info they know would make headlines?More than anyone, I feel for her poor kids. I can’t even imagine what hell those two are going through every day since she got her “freedom.”
