Omarosa explains that, actually, no, she didn't get fired

Following her elimination on this week’s episode of The White House Apprentice, it was only natural that Omarosa Manigault Newman would make an appearance today on Good Morning America to provide a behind-the-scenes look at her dramatic series send-off. She used it as an opportunity to set the record straight about what she says really happened:

Speaking with GMA host Michael Strahan, Omarosa refuted the reports she had been escorted from the White House by Secret Service agents after verbally confronting White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and attempting to “storm the residence.” Omarosa argued that if such an incident had occurred surely there would be video of it, which is a very good point and if you have hilarious video of Omarosa being forcibly removed from the White House please, for the love of God, the world deserves to see it, please. Omarosa also repeatedly claimed the Secret Service had issued a statement denying she had been escorted from the White House. Of course, what the Secret Service actually denied was only that they had been the ones doing the escorting:

As for the real reason she left the White House, Omarosa said she resigned because she “wanted to make the one year mark,” which is of course the longest amount of time a person is allowed to work at a job, and so there’s probably no reason to look into that any further. Omarosa also hinted at the possibility of a future book deal, so keep an eye out for that, as it is sure to be very bad.

At the conclusion of the interview, in which Michael Strahan was considerably less hard-hitting than his football days, Robin Roberts summed up the extremely stupid situation with all the gravitas it deserved: “Bye, Felicia.”
