Patton Oswalt to play an imaginary pegasus on Syfy’s Happy!

Aux Features TV

According to Deadline, Patton Oswalt has been cast as the voice of the eponymous blue pegasus in Syfy’s recently picked-up series Happy!, which stars Chris Meloni as an alcoholic ex-cop who is “adrift in a world of casual murder, soulless sex, and betrayal. Bobby Moynihan was originally cast as the pegasus in the Happy! pilot, but Oswalt will be taking over when the show goes to series this fall. The show is based on a graphic novel of the same name by Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson, with Morrison also acting as an executive producer and writing the pilot.

Moynihan, who just left SNL earlier this year, will be starring in the gimmicky Me, Myself & I over on CBS this year, so this recasting may have more to do with his schedule than anything else.
