Amazon Prime has recently asked journalists to follow their lead on calling their streaming service “Prime Video” and, who are we to argue? Things seem to be on the rise for the streamer, so why not pivot to a sleek new name that also helps distance the platform from the Amazon behemoth and all the baggage that entails. Prime Video also appears to be looking to capitalize on lots of subscribers staying home and binge watching this winter. What could be better than all the Indiana Jones films, lots of indie gems as well as a few Oscar winners? Bundle up and enjoy.

A few weeks ago the eagerly awaited teaser for the final Indiana Jones film (featuring Harrison Ford, that is) dropped and it looked … pretty great! Sure, the de-aged Indy was a bit off-putting, but the title for the newest installation, Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny, as well as what appears to be more Nazi-busting, more than made up for that issue. Sensing a need to revisit the classic Indiana Jones films, Prime Video is taking it back to where it all began with the OG Indy flick, 1981’s .

Good to see the THREE Indiana Jones movies are going to be available for streaming.

I’ll be honest – there’s been more than a few occasions where I have mistaken one of my droppings as a seed and eaten it. It wasn’t bad!

First time I hear about “Harold and Maude”. When can we expect the spinoff “Kumar and Maude”?

Hasn’t it been called Prime Video for years? Anyways surprised Disney is cool with letting all the Indians Jones movies stream on a different site but the politics of who stream what and what is most profitable is beyond me.I will say that I recently had the realization that my favorite movie of all time may be Raiders of the Lost Ark. It’s just such an amazing film on so many levels. It manages to combine action, comedy and horror elements in a way that all work but don’t diminish the stakes.

Paramount still controls distribution for the first four Indy films. Until Disney buys Paramount, of course.

I did not know that but that confuses me even more since there is literally a streaming service called Paramount Plus, that from all accounts is not doing so great, that could really use those movies.

They’re currently on Paramount Plus. Before that they were on Showtime, which is owned by Paramount. The 4k set released last year reportedly sold well, so Paramount is doing a pretty job exploiting them.

          • nilus-av says:

The 4K set had an edge since it included a really cool DVD shaped coaster that had some made up Crystal Skull movie art.

Robert Blake was acquitted in a criminal trial and found liable in a civil trial. Not sure how that translates to “convicted murderer.”
