Amazon Prime Video has a diverse selection of originals, indies, and recent theatrical releases this October. Tommy Lee Jones plays a funeral home owner and Jamie Foxx is his attorney in The Burial, which was based on a true story from The New Yorker and was a hit with attendees at the Toronto Film Festival. Fans missing Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina star Kiernan Shipka won’t want to miss her time-traveling comedy-horror Totally Killer. Other new additions to Prime Video’s library this October include Nicolas Cage in Renfield, Godzilla Vs. Kong, A Fish Called Wanda, A View To A Kill (and pretty much every other James Bond film), the British marital arts action comedy Polite Society, the Western drama Surrounded, and so much more.

Who the fuck changed the slideshow tech so that you can’t click on the next button more than once every 3 seconds?

Reduce the window width to half screen (think portrait mode instead of landscape) and you never have to click on them at all.

You are the wind beneath my wings.(Honestly as a web dev I should have tried that out, especially since I’ve occasionally opened one of these lists on my phone and noticed that it’s all one page; however it also spastically auto-scrolls in a way that makes it totally unusable, so in my mind I’d flagged the mobile view of these slideshows as totally unusable. But a mobile width on a desktop browser is surprisingly usable!… except that most of the images/embeds don’t load.)

I caught Polite Society a few months ago. It’s a fun 105 minutes and definitely worth a watch.

I watched Totally Killer last night and it was a riot in between full on bloody terrifying slasher moments. Kiernan Shipka’s deliveries of the script’s differences between Gen X and Gen Z are dead on (although I don’t quite recall graphic sex being discussed that openly, but perhaps I was sheltered.)
It also does a nice job hiding the killer.  Worth a watch.
