The CW’s new murder mystery In The Dark follows Murphy, a “hard-living, hard-drinking, disaffected twenty-something” blind women who stumbles drunk upon the lifeless body of one of her closest friends. By the time police arrive, however, the body has disappeared. When it seems like the police aren’t taking her eyewitness account seriously, Murphy takes it upon herself to solve her friend’s murder. Ahead of the its premiere next week, we spoke with various members of the show’s cast and crew. Today, Rich Sommer and Casey Diedrick tell us why In The Dark is the “Clue of TV shows.”

    This sounds… nothing at all like the commercials on the CW are making it out to be.

    The ads for this don’t look super-interesting, though Casey Diedrick looks plenty charismatic and funny. They do not seem to touch at all on the murder mystery angle, oddly, because I think that is a cool hook.

      Yeah, I thought this was just a general drama about a blind woman. That it’s a mystery is nowhere at all in the ads.

    there were a bunch of bad trailers for tv before a movie I saw the other day then this came on and everybody in the theater kind of went, “huh, I’d watch that”
