Further proving he’s, like, totally down with the kids, Ryan Adams is working on covering Taylor Swift’s 1989 in its entirety. Calling Swift’s cuts “badass tunes,” Adams says he’s applying Smiths-like qualities to his versions of the songs, something he equates to “sandblasting.”
Swift seems to be excited by the news, though to be fair, she seems to be excited about most things. She tweeted to Adams that she’s “not going to sleep tonight or ever again” and plans on celebrating yesterday, the day she heard about his plans, “every year as a holiday.”
